'Tis the season

COUNTDOWN

We are counting down and on the lookout for the big jolly man! We have decided on his treat, and we are leaving reindeer food in the yard. Hopefully, the time will pass quickly because I do not know how much longer these two can remain on their best behavior!!!

JOY! JOY! JOY!

Last week Edward was in two Christmas programs. One at school and one at church. So we were in the Christmas spirit and reminded of the real reason for the season.

Quiz Time!

What could these photos have in common? See below before reading!!!!

Well, the one with Eddie in the dishwasher with a shop vac is what you get when your helpful 2 1/2 year old opens the dishwasher and pours DAWN dishwashing liquid into the JETDRY dispenser thing! Yes we had suds everywhere, and they would not go away. So out comes the shop vac to the rescue to suck out the suds!
Once we reassured William that the police were not coming to get him, he retreated into our room to watch Bob the Builder. After awhile when he no longer heard the roar of the shop vac, he came out to help with his tools because then Eddie had to take the dishwasher door off to get to the JETDRY thingy to rinse out the remaining DAWN.

WHAT A NIGHT!!!!!!

Sweetest Words

Today started out rainy and dreary, and I did not want to wake up early. Unfortunately, William had other ideas, and of course, Daddy would not do. Mommy had to be the one to get up !! GROAN. So I made it out of bed, made muffins, another LOUD request by my little one, and lazily hung around the house. Eddie went to work, and I finally got ready and made sure Edward was decently dressed. I started getting clothes on William, which is sometimes a real workout with his spinning and then stopping to read a book. Finally he was dressed and he sat up and gave me the BIGGEST hug, and said the sweetest words he has ever said... "I love my mommy". Getting up early on a rainy dreary Saturday morning was sure worth it!!

Happy Birthday Nanny Dot!

Friday was Nanny Dot's 84th birthday! When the boys visit, it is a wild time. Hopefully they didn't get on the birthday girl's nerves too much. Happy Birthday Nanny! We Love You!

Super Spellers

Today was ECS' Lower School Spelling Bee, and Edward and his "friend" Emma represented their class. I think everyone's nerves were on edge, but we made it through. Edward came in fourth place and Emma in third. A good showing for two seven year olds. Way to go guys! We are proud of you!!!!

Cowboy Bob???

William's imagination has been running in high gears lately. Tuesday night he was a cowboy riding on the range. Tonight he is Bob the Builder fixing everything and everyone with his tools. Hopefully tomorrow(Halloween) he will be a fireman. We'll see!!!!

The first picture is this year, and the bottom was taken last year about this same time. Where has the time gone?

Happy Halloween!!

We were invited to a great HALLOWEEN party at Ms. Debbie's house. There was a GIANT slide, hotdogs, smores, candy and games. Both boys were tuckered out and almost didn't make it home before they fell asleep. Thanks Ms. Debbie for a fantastic evening!!

Laken

Whether she's at a ballgame, dressed up as a princess, dancing her heart out, or hanging out with one of her "boyfriends" (edward), Laken is a treat to be around! It is hard to believe she is almost three years old. Time has quickly flown by!

Party Weekend

When you are turning 85 years old, you certainly deserve 2 birthday parties. Nanny Morrell celebrated her birthday Friday night and Saturday night. Her actual birthday was Saturday but because my parents were not in town Saturday, they had a little party Friday night for her. Then on Saturday, we partied again with most but not all of the grands and great grands. Eight children aging ten years old to two. What a great time!
Nanny said she has out lived any in her family including her parents, siblings, aunts or uncles. She is an amazing lady who is always on the go and ready to help with anything ( babysitting, cooking big Sunday meals, anything!!!!)
I love her so much and I feel so blessed to be part of her family.
Happy Birthday Nanny!

We're going to the fair!

After 2 soccer games we headed to Columbia to the Sate Fair. This is not my cup of tea, but all 3 of the boys (Eddie too) had a blast. William wanted to see the animals. The horses were a big hit with him. I did manage to get him on the merry-go-round. While Edward quickly outgrew the "kiddie" rides in favor of the "adult section" of the fair. He loved the fun houses and the bumper cars! The ride home was not enjoyable however because William was sick throwing up! GROSS!!
